Every year I struggle to think of a good halloween costume. What are y’all going as this year so I can steal your good ideas?
Captain Jack Sparrow, for two reasons:
- I like wearing costumes that have a soundtrack, which I loop on my phone and playing while I’m out and about.
- I live in a walkable area and it’ll be fun to do the Jack Sparrow walk/run while I"m out and about.
Happy Halloween.
I’m Willy Wonka from the new Wonka movie. Tbrifted everything except for the coat, which my grandmother and mother sewed and embroidered. Its really cool.

Make sure you spend all your time under the lamp post.
Going as Mr Clean. Seems simple and fun. Although, with Halloween parties being what they are, we’ll see how long those pristine whites last.
Oooh, this is a great idea! I’m bald AF now so might be a great way to capitalize on that
We were set to go to Fan Expo with these, but wife Pokemon-loving kiddo weren’t feeling quite 100%. This is ultimately good, because the obscure (in the US) anime that kiddo was angling for was just not going to happen for Halloween.
So, I’m going as Professor Freide, wife as an Umbreon, and kiddo as Nemona from the Violet video game. Kiddo’s oversized Pikachu pillow got a captain’s hat safety-pinned to his head, so he’ll be Cap.

Bunny girl!
My kid saw a hunchback costume in a Halloween book we’ve been reading at bedtime and he thinks I should be one. It seems a bit ableist, but it’s also as easy as throwing a cloak on and shoving a pillow under my shirt, so I guess I’m not opposed.
Lady Licorice.
We are doing a scary candyland theme at work.
I think a jolly rancher could be terrifying too.
Either Michael Myers or my ghillie suit.
Normal human man, just like every other day of the year.
Why yes, this is a very wide smile. Thank you.
If Temu gets their act together - Red Hood.
Ordered the jacket, mask, & guns about a week ago, said it’d be delivered the 23rd.
If that fails I have no idea…
Surprisingly, Temu is actually pretty good with their shipping estimates, and they give you a $5 credit for late delivery.
They’re more like high end version of Wish.com; like getting Malt-o-meal cereal instead of store brand.
