We’ve got a “feeding difficulty” child (this is more of a social admit, baby is actually eating fine). She’s at the nurses desk cause parents dont come by, so we’re feeding her and burping. Baby makes one little murmur and all 5 nurses as a collective say “awwwww”

More drugs are manufactured, trafficked, and distributed by Americans than practically all of South America combined. How about the US stops sending fent and meth everywhere else? How about the CIA stops bringing heroin in from Asia? What about all the legal substances that are abused, like alcohol and prescription drugs? Blame is never placed on white Americans for creating their own problems.

Does anyone else get irrationally angry at the mention of DE&I? I know it’s the latest right wing attack angle and I’m doing exactly what they want when I get wound up by it, but man, I cannot help but be infuriated by it.
The whole reason why policies like DE&I get introduced is to combat anti-minority hiring/promoting practices where white males get preferential treatment. There’s something so perverse about taking something that is supposed to course correct a bias and flipping it into a narrative of “it’s giving minorities preferential treatment.” No, it’s not, it’s trying to reduce the preferential treatment you’ve always had.
It just seems to boil back down to the bigoted idea that the white male candidate is the most qualified candidate by default, to which I say eat my fucking ass. It’s frustrating because I already have a hard time valuing myself in my own head without every aspect of the world - whether it’s love, or work, or even friendships - also reminding me that it doesn’t value me.

thinking about how in a time of need when i lost my housing no longer had income had to move back in with my abuser and i didn’t have anyone to rely on, that an east asian self proclaimed marxist “friend”(no more) of mine decided to randomly not be friends with me anymore because they thought my “mental health was horrible” (who’s mental isn’t completely fucked rn, if it wasn’t then THAT would be the problem + my mental is definitely better than the average person bc i deprogrammed and unpacked immensely and i deal with it in much healthier ways than most) from the advice of their 99% white peers (whom DONT know me) after they decided to move to one of the most notoriously white bubbled towns in the US. and urged me to “get help and fix it” as if i was some seeping toxic biohazard. i’m my own number one critic but i know they were just putting shit on me that didn’t have to do with me. it’s so easy for people with darker skin to be villanized and become the scape goat not just from white people but other “poc” literally for just existing and still being exceptional compared to literally any cracker. i’m tired of having to be the absolute best and holding myself to the highest standards just to be shown a little fucking love, or at this rate be treated like a human being. it’s funny because i’m genuinely in love with myself and who I am and the journey i’ve been through means everything to me and i’m determined to see it through the way i want to just like everyone else gets to without scrutiny, and for some reason the world really fucking hates that.
Many such cases. I can relate deeply with your experiences and these experiences sow a seed of distrust in absolutely everyone around you. I have a hard time trusting anyone or believing anyone has my back.
Seems like the bar is extremely high for us and the only way to make it out alive is to hollow yourself out into a husk of a human being, one with insane mental fortitude and yet zero connection to love or anything delicate that anyone else is afforded.

Looking at the election results for Colorado is pretty depressing. Jill Stein only got 1187 votes. The libertarian candidate did better with 1760.
I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised. Mountain states, like New Hampshire for example (not a mountain state but hilly and for the East Coast those are the only mountains except the Appalachians) always have a lot of libertarians.
The results are not all bad , it’s why we have legal weed and mushrooms, for example which I very much appreciate as civil rights issues.
Colorado is the reason that any states have legalized it. It all started here.

Yes. Basically Californians moved here en masse. They did the same with Oregon (Portland) and Washington State (Seattle) .
Colorado is a Midwestern mountain state. It happens to be the birthplace of the KKK in 1922 as well as many right wing white supremacist militias.
But the population of Colorado doubles every decade and the vast majority of people who come here are liberals or libertarians.

My class is so large the DMV made two separate lists and I’m on the second list so that means I test tomorrow. Sure I’m really anxious but I have more time to study and the weather will be better tomorrow.
Also so far everyone’s passed so that means if they can do it, I can do it!
Once I pass, I’ll enter RSPT (revenue service prep training) and I’m gold!
