To not die in an incredibly stupid war defending a Nazi ridden lethargic western puppet state?
very mystery
“I want to have a future” - the guy being interviewed. To the immense butthurt of western liberals, that “future” is not apparently very concerned about UA victory.
Increasingly of the opinion that ground troops only exist to give enemy artillery something to shoot at
And on the 100 year anniversary of 1914, no less. Edit: lol I can’t math, this morning. I’d delete it but actually it’s kinda funny I made such a bone headed response.
So… all the reasons I would have guessed?
There aren’t enough volunteers
Ok right at the first sentence, we have a fundamental disconnect here.
Are they volunteers? All those videos of people being pulled into vans by state security? That’s volunteering?
American propaganda is incredible. Only a couple paragraphs later they mention the draft.
So which is it? Voluntary, or a draft?
Has there been much in Ukraine in way of anti-war protests? I’ve heard there have been some but it doesn’t seem like there’s an organized anti-war or even anti-conscription movement, although that could be due to the western media bubble
or because if someone tries to protest, they get vanned and conscripted…
Right, but where are the women in this? Ukraine is still doing male-only conscription (for now)
They have started female conscription to a degree
Oh I must’ve missed that
I get the impression most of the people who are anti-conscription have fled the country.
Well the conscripts maybe, but there should still be a base of anti-conscription women within the country (widows, spouses, etc)
To not die?
A bunch of cowards who don’t want to die for comedy man and US interests, that’s who!
