I’m a bit fond of collecting stuff. Coins, cards from defunct TCG’s, books, and I’m doing my best not to get into stamps. Oh, and of course anything spider themed.
I dead-ass have a poisonous plant collection
Ooh ooh I know this Father Brown!
It doesn’t turn out well for you I’m afraid.
look at my user name
Rocks, mostly. Nothing specific, just ones that catch my eye on a walk
Used to be knives, but eventually the collection side of that faded away and I was just left with several good knives, a couple of sentimental knives, and some random bad knives that I use for stuff that fucks up knives
I used to collect knives, but I’m waaay too good at losing them. Now I got a collection much like yours.
One of the greatest rock collections in the world is here, and it’s basically just a guy that started picking up rocks along the river when he was 12, and then got picky about the rocks looking cool as his collection grew, people started admiring the rocks, sending him cool rocks, offering him rare rocks, trading rocks from different parts of the world, offering him tours of major mines to find rocks etc. For 80 years. And he never went pro or did Geology, he made cabinets. Dude just loved cool rocks.
It’s a very cool collection because it contains both very ordinary everyday minerals picked off the ground that look cool and deeply weird and hard to find shit.
Dude really just made a museum. That’s so cool
unfinished projects :agony:
I used to have so many defunct tcg’s, the original netrunner, spoils, the old dbz game with the little sword
Board games. Fetish wear.
marxist pdfs I take months to read
Regrets. Swords. Vendettas.
Bad takes
Board games, miniatures (mostly wh40k), print copies of webcomics. I’m still in the early stages of each of them, but as I get a little extra cash here and there I like to “invest” in one or more of them!
The hearts of my enemies
These:
I used to collect records, mostly jazz and rnb, but then I had a kid lol.
I collect a lot of stuff. old books, rare pre 20th century music, Current obsession 18th-19th century chatelaines (a series of chains women wore on their skirts, with all the tools needed for everyday life that they didn’t want to have to reach into their (very large) pockets for,) and accessories,
Oh and hatpins. So stabby! Less keen on the hats but that’s more an effort issue.
Love it! My local museum had a weapon’s exhibit and they made sure to have a section on hairpins. Ladies rule.
I’m working my way to every volume of one piece. I’m still a ways off
Project ideas I haven’t started on. 😭 Though I have been turning that trend around recently!
Edit: Also perfume, it didn’t really start as something to collect but more to try out different ones. But in the meantime I have like 8 along with like 30 samples.
