I had the Virtual Boy system when I was a kid and I feel like I’m the only person who actually enjoyed it lol I don’t recall ever getting any headaches but then I wasn’t on there all day or anything

I too am a 3D screen enjoyer on the 3DS. But I don’t really play fast-moving games where the 3D would create vision issues.

I really did but the framerate in almost every game that used it dropping by half killed me.

I enjoyed it, although I’m not sure it really added much. I mainly played Mario Kart 7.

@lord_ryvan @atocci I liked it too. Unfortunately my 3ds broke and I ended up replacing it with a late 2ds, which is mostly fine since most of what I play are old GBA games, and I got a bigger screen that way. But someday I might want to redo Ocarina and then I might care.
Has anyone had any luck with 3D emulation? I tried Citra with colored 3d glasses once, but didn’t get too far. But I think frankly I just needed a better computer.

I really thought it was cool but was way too expensive for what it was.

A friend of mine whose parents were divorced had it. He let me play it a ton and I didn’t get any dizziness or eye damage.

I played the VB a ton when I was a kid. I guess I was just a dumb kid but it always felt fine to me, I never felt any eye strain or anything. Maybe I just have super eyes.

  • The best way to play this thing is to get a headband or something so you can strap it to your face like a real VR helmet, then just lay back in bed and jam.

I absolutely loved this thing for the actual game experience. The design for how you were supposed to use it, though, was absolute shit. Not even the children it was made for sit that low to a table for it to really be comfortable. You would almost always have to hunch over awkwardly and you’d definitely want a pillow or something for your chin… Just awful.

Lol, it weighs a couple of pounds. I remember trying to strap it to my head somehow, but it was just too heavy to stay up. You would need some kind of shoulder harness or something. Then if you were to lay on your back with it, the thin foam around the goggles just gives away and you got a block of heavy plastic pressing into your face.

Warioland was a solid game, sad it hasn’t gotten a re-vamp yet.
