Google translate says the sign says “Karamay Tower”, which places it in far west China. https://maps.app.goo.gl/2XHmdmRK21LY2Krw6
Don’t need to go to China for this. Back when Michigan had real winters, less than a decade ago, this was a regular occurrence.
But did you have those little overhead arrows telling you where the road is?
Nope, made it scarier.
Also bad is when the big flakes are coming down heavy, flying over your windshield, lit up by your headlights. It’s like your flying at light speed, hard to see the road
I rode back from a Phish show in Albany, NY when there were big fat flakes coming down at night on I-90. It was my first show and also first mushroom chocolate. It was like going warp speed the entire way home, long white snowflake tracers across a black background. Very fun to watch, although the trip home took a lot longer because we could only do 45 rather than 65.
Haha I call that warp snow. It’s fun game of hope you know the road as well as you think you do and that nothing or no one is in front of you.
I’ve seen this in North Dakota as well.
We had these in Indiana too, before the dark times
Also known as a good driving day in the Winter in Wyoming.
The worst is when it’s dark. Visibility goes down so badly.
Could be anywhere in Canada too
Man, I think your LOD cutoff is borked.
Is there a FreezingFuckingCold magazine/community around?
