Makes sense. I can think of more BBC series I’d like to rewatch than Netflix or Prime.
Do they still require a UK address or should I just keep pirating 8 of 10 cats?
Yes, they do, and also 8 of 10 cats is not a BBC show.
My bad…there’s BBC 4 ads at the end of mine.
It does air on channel 4, just not BBC 4, could you have misheard? Either way, if you’re not local, you’re not to know!
doesnt seem like a fair comparison. bbc has been creating shit for how many years with a captive audience that lasted for decades, right?
BBC seem to generally be better at keeping their content off of free streaming sites, since you need to be paying a UK licence fee to watch iplayer, and they want that money (for non UK readers - the TV detection van parked outside your house is a bit of a joke nowadays, but is based in reality. I still get like 2 threatening letters from them a month because I refuse to engage) so they’re not leaving people as much choice.
