They were trying to get me to vote for this Dem running for a state seat, guy’s a chief of staff for some local establishment democrat, usual machine operation.

I explain I’m sick of the democrats, and the volunteer’s response? “Well candidate such and such is actually much more moderate than people make him out to be.” I wryly pointed out that he just said that to a socialist, and at that point I think he realized he couldn’t do anything to pitch his candidate at that point.

    (cw: immolation, gore)

if someone comes to my door I am going to get my tablet and show them the video of Shaaban Al-Dalou burning alive. if they haven’t left then I will play the video of the father carrying his nearly-decapitated child and you can see the inside of the child’s skull. repeat with Hind Rajab’s last call, and additional entries from the library of atrocities until they leave.

My job is to make sure that door-to-door canvassers who are in a different state than I am are not slacking off. I call customers that they have noted as “Canvassed,” and I have to just confirm that they talked to the person and that they were polite and whatnot. In calling a few of these customers, I’ve heard some of them make anti-Harris statements when talking to me directly. Most of them came off as a pro-Trump, conservative boomer type of criticism, though. Despite this, whenever I could, I’d sneak in a line like, “Oh, I don’t even agree with this organization’s endorsement. I absolutely don’t support Harris! This is just my job.” or something like that, as thankfully, my phone calls are not recorded, or at least that’s what they say! They are a pro-worker NPO that has strongly endorsed Harris, but I have not revealed to anyone that works with me that I absolutely do not agree. I’m currently in the process of seeking a new job, not just because of the values conflict being awkward but because this job isn’t the most stable in terms of always having active work.

I still get mailed-in pitches (to my new address, not even forwarded!) from my old CA district, which for some reason they decided to send across the country to me to tell me how this disruptive innovative entrepreneur is going to cut the dae le red tape (what fucking red tape is left?) and further invest and expand “AI” businesses in the district.

    That’s a fucking threat. corporate-art

They’ve found you. The cybertrucks are coming to found some startups down the street. Next thing you know, you’ll be hearing about the latest Prestige TV in the grocery store checkout line.
