Ah, yes. People surprised that money laundering doesn’t become legal just because you use a computer to do it.

The government and big banks are doing 99.99% of the money laundering despite the idiotic laws that are in place.

Transferring money is not a suspicious activity in a free society. There should be no limits or questions asked.

Luckily now we have Monero which the criminal state cannot control. If they will not give us freedom we will take it.

Monero is probably the biggest scam of all. I’m probably responding to a bit anyways.

Fiat currency is the biggest scam. No accountability, audit-ability, and manipulated by dirty bankers.

        Monero’s WHOLE POINT is money-laundering.

        Criminal-rule NEEDS money-laundering.

Remember when Valve stopped accepting any blockchain transactions for money, because it was waaay too much crime people involved?

        Is that evidence?

Not to you, but it is to those ( like Valve, or me ) whom you deem incompetent, right?

Money-laundering for criminal benefit ought be hard-illegal, both for big financial institutions, including Swiss banks, & for everybody else, too.

        Including Monero.

        Enabling criminal dominion isn’t justifiable.

& pretending that Northern Mexico, a criminality-ruled region isn’t the result of crossing the tipping-point from civil-society to criminality-ruled region, is … not merely morally irresponsible, it is morally reprehensible, in dishonesty.

Once criminality gains control, rooting it out has become unaffordably-costly.

Obviously, we’re on the opposite sides of this.

Freedom is dangerous but it is essential if you do not want to live in a communist work camp.

PS: for people who don’t understand:

Using an Algorand-derivative for accounting-transactions, to make “cooking the books” impossible, seems to me brilliant.

But baking money-laundering into currency, as Monero does, gives leverage to organized-crime, & that’s going the wrong way.

          Bitcoin? it’s essentially a pyramid-scheme, & the early-investors in it got super-rich as a result of that.

          Algorand, the actual/official version?

even that was run as a pyramid-scheme.

Read “Attack of the 50 Foot Blockchain” & you’ll get a good overview of the reality of blockchain currencies, without the hype.

I know of no-one who’s doing it with outright proper integrity.

Algorand’s got the correct math, apparently, but … hasn’t ANYbody got the integrity to not run it as a pyramid scheme?

ALL of them work that way, from what I’ve seen!

The government is the master of “cooking the books”. Monero just levels the playing field.
If the communists in charge of this system are not accountable to me when they try to steal from me then why should I be accountable to them when they are my employees?

The state has no right or authority to demand any information regarding your income or finances, this is a purely private matter, Monero helps to enforce this fact and restore some human dignity and sovereignty.

Yea, hard disagree there. You can go all sovcit or crypto anarchist if you want, choosing not to be part of society, but a government has absolutely the right to know where you get your money from. It’s one of the foundations of a nation state to levy taxes in order to provide infrastructure, protection, regulations, etc… You seem to think a nation state is inherently evil. You are entitled to your opinion, but I think you are a useful idiot at best for criminal enterprises or outright part of one at worst.

Communist tyrants and psychopathic control freaks want to know where you get your money from.

I do not think a nation state is evil, but it needs to be limited to only a few functions. It has no business in my personal life and income.

The state is currently the biggest criminal enterprise there is. Trillions stolen and millions murdered in their wake.

You really ought to read up on communism.

And in case you didn’t understand it fully yet - crypto will be overtaken by big players if it’s all that super secure, since you know, those big bad guys have way more money than all of us put together.

I did read up on it. It is a deception by the banking elites to dupe morons into fighting for their own enslavement by concentrating power to the state which the banking class control.
