  • This is what I’ve taken to lately… If they’re a religious conservative.

If they come from a less unhinged, though still clearly misguided, point or view, I play nicer.

I grew up in a conservative family, though, and went to a religious school. Which why I’m a Marxist atheist now. Which is also why I have no tolerance for religious conservatives and dunk on them relentlessly with their own Bible.

EDIT: I should add that I’m nicer to neighborhood liberals because I think they more often come from a standpoint of wanting what seems to be better for everyone than what we have now. Conservatives just want subjugation, so fuck them.

  • Yes, underneath they are all using a Linux kernel, but the user experience between Gentoo and Mint is radically different. And Fedora is a very different experience from Arch. Or Ubuntu vs Void.

I’ve recommended Zorin to my dad. I would not recommend Slackware to him.

It’s easy to say that Debian-Fedora-Arch are all Linux, but between all of their derivatives and all of the independent distros, there is a vast array of user experiences available.

  • I used to believe that the presence of the furin cleavage site on the spike protein was basically concrete evidence that it was a natural virus that was modified in a lab somewhere. I still think it’s theoretically possible, but the evidence that we now have points to that being less likely.

There definitely is an injection if 12 nucleotides into the spike gene, but the injection is out of frame (meaning that the round peg didn’t totally make it into the round hole). If it were engineered that way, that would amount to it being done the hard way just for the sake of making it difficult.

I’m not an evolutionary biologist, biochemist, or anything like that (just a bachelor’s in bio now working in the film industry), so I really don’t know if it’s within the realm of possibility that this out-of-frame nucleotide injection could just be the result of sloppy copying over the course of many infections, or not.
