You definitely can’t scale a monolith the same way you can scale a micro service
Okay and once those grow to the point where they need to monitize to stay afloat people will just switch to other instances
And once the devs can’t maintain server costs, they should shut down new registrations.
There’s no need to charge for servers
Why should there be larger instances?
Who says any instances need to grow?
Lemmy’s would benefit from scaling horizontally (more instances) instead of vertically (bigger instances)
Karma is so pointless and I’ve never understood why you’d ‘farm’ it
Jesus this list is old.
No VS Code? Dropbox as your storage? No GroupMe/Discord for group chats?
This doesn’t make sense
Your first 5 email masks are free and if you install the extension a little icon will appear in most email fields. Let’s you create a new mask right there.
If you buy the premium version you can get your own custom subdomain: @XXXX.mozmail.com where you pick XXXX
This way you don’t even need the extension. You can just do something like “[email protected]” and Relay will “create” that email for you. Cannot recommend it enough, especially since it’s free to start
I appreciate all the informed takes people have in this thread.
Good QA/testing teams can make or break your product, but there’s only so many things they can cover in such a massive project
They’ve clearly never had to deal with Jira lol
Firefox Relay is by far the easiest (and imo best) solution for that
You can try it for free and if you use it enough it only costs $24 a year
Stackoverflow, probably not. Stack Exchange, possibly
That’d be a pretty cool feature. Sounds like it could be a front end “fix” too
It was unplayable on my current gen console.
Gotta be honest, if Cyberpunk “wasn’t that bad” then Bethesda games should be getting praised for how few bugs they have
They probably don’t care about the issues. Unless it’s Cyberpunk levels of bad, I’ll probably play it on day one
