Tried that, didn’t help on my system. I switched to the flatpak version just now but the integration the preinstalled version had (option in devices thing to run with VLC).

Tuxedo OS. Same idea as smth like mint or PopOs but (imo) done much better. It also has rolling release for some stuff (like the DE) and non-rolling for other stuff (not even sure what bc I don’t really look in detail). It also uses KDE plasma my favorite (and imo the best) DE. It’s got pretty good app availability in terms of official packages because it is based on Ubuntu LTS (now 24.04). There are a couple things that are vestigial on most computers bc it was made for tuxedo computers but these have no negative effect on other devices in my experience.
Finally, valve is doing something
Ik this is a joke but if anyone is wondering it’s because units of linear motion (km/h, mph, etc.) do not accurately describe rotation. Rotational units like rpm are much better as linear units give a misleadingly large (though technically correct) number.
There is no reason a ryzen 5 4000 and a GTX 1650 with 16 GB of ram shouldn’t be able to run a game at 60 fps at 1080p native resolution, or at 1440p (monitor I use now is the resolution) with upscaling and still look decent. That’s not even an opinion thing, cyberpunk runs at a good framerate at 1440p looking absolutely gorgeous with fidelityfx 3, but I shouldn’t even need that. Also, “just upgrade your pc” is like telling a homeless guy to just buy a house because 1) PC shit is expensive and 2) I have a laptop so I can’t just upgrade bits and pieces.
Nothing runs at a decent framerate anymore, I have no choice if I want it to look decent. 60 fps isn’t that much to ask for.
I think you missed the point of the entire post a little bit
I have chickens, this is generally true. However, if you have too many roosters they will gangbang the hens to death and fight each other.
Anti-human propaganda
As long as you don’t distribute it it should be fine legally (in the US) and is morally correct (imo) since it is your own copy of the book.

I block politics in general. If I want to discuss politics, I’ll do it with people in real life (or online with people I know in real life). I use social media mostly for entertainment and “why thing not work no more?” Kind of stuff.
I remember when I had wifi issues it had put the wifi card on like a do-not-use list. Not sure why or if that’ll help but maybe try that list? No clue anymore what it was called, sorry.
I pretty much only use Lemmy (and loops but it’s not really finished yet) but I have mastodon too.
What do you mean? The post is about using Lemmy to view mastodon stuff so I don’t have to use anything else. It’s not just about using Lemmy, it’s about only using Lemmy.
Give alvr a try, but you’re probably best off just using windows for VR.
Mint chocolate chip, and being Texan blue bell is my drug of choice.
The Logitech x3d Xtreme or whatever the hell it’s called. it’s a $34 flight stick, best one you can get for cheap, and after having and abusing it for years it only had any issues after a rottweiler puppy chewed the cable. Would recommend.
Imo it’s perfectly fine not to have an opinion on something so long as you don’t weigh in on it, much like how you shouldn’t complain about which candidate got elected if you didn’t vote.
