Hey, no worries. I think that the movie really is a marvel in the way it imagines the fundamental human condition - the individual and the community - in this amazing way despite the obvious Christian stuff.

Nothing more sublime than Donna Reed’s breathless “They’re coming George!” The finale of the movie is really something special. Your late father had good taste. It’s a humanist (in the best sense) masterpiece.

Hyperfixed isn’t exclusively male/masculine, but Alex is a good host and interviewer. His journey to India to meet a scammer in Reply All is still legendary. The premise of the new show is like his old Super Tech Support bit, trying to dig into things like “why do grocery stores in the US have open coolers when that seems really wasteful”.

Also, obviously part of the bullshitting/hanging out genre is Chapo, but also “If Books Could Kill” is very enjoyable.

Only things i’m watching this season are

Solo Leveling - the most mids show with the best animation. It is total slop, but the style is great.

Akuyaku Reijou Tensei Ojisan - a surprisingly fun isekai. I’ve read the manga, and it looks like they’re going to do a good job with it.

Unfortunately that’s probably it, since I have a lot of other stuff to do this season…

Amazing work. Also, can I say, I really love the inclusion of progress pics. There’s no reason to doubt it was you who did it, but this is unironically exactly what I want from my writing students just to show me they didn’t GPT it. It’s always cool to see the process behind creating something like this.
