Trump might be capable of a brief hog-trot, but I can’t imagine him swooping.

Lol, the Audacity to complain about “extraterritorial regulations that stifle their innovation”
Those morons should be banned until they comply and pay up or fined much much more the next time, for them thinking they stand above the laws of foreign sovereign states.

I hate that WhatsApp was so great and became the standard messenger, only to get swallowed up and steal all your data for the big Zuck.

They should force all large communication platforms to offer federation.

I must use Whatsapp, since everyone else is using it. Our company must use teams since customers are using it.

Did you see Zuck on Rogaine saying that "The CIA have access to whatsapp, even with the encryption’? Nice subtle way to say the Trump administration has access to every single Whatsapp message, profile and call history in the world. Likely all of their platforms realistically.

Given his notable track record, if I were a Big Tech company, I would hope that he refrains from exercising his self-proclaimed “art of the deal” for fear of potential bankruptcy.

If you think what Trump says about Greenland is bad, you should hear what Russia keeps saying about the baltics and Poland.

Russia is not being particularly secretive in their plans for a war with the EU.

Russia will get their ass handed to them if they try taking on NATO, even without the US involved. The Ukraine invasion has made it very clear how degraded their capabilities are, and even more, how primitive their tactics are. And Russia’s fleet in the Baltic can’t do shit because of the Swedes and Finns joining NATO, and because Ukraine sunk most of the fleet using drones. Building warships is a long lead-time activity.

And as for Poland, Germany will not tolerate that. And the Poles are a far more powerful state than Ukraine, and hate the Russians even more, if that’s even possible.

Ah American exceptionalism. Because P2025 would never, ever do such a thing.

Djt is a puppet, dancing to the strings pulled by his puppet masters. He’s irrelevant, but as the curtain surrounding the wizards.

On Wednesday the first penalties came down under the act: €500 million against Apple and €200 million against Meta, along with significant requirements for both companies to change their business practices.

Note that these were the first penalties. More are likely. Not everything has been judged yet.

They can whine or call for their puppy or whatever, but it does not change their wrongdoings of the past.

Even if the EU would change their laws again NOW, it would not count for the past.
