Nah fuck off with the scare tactics, the germanys economy is doing fine in a global comparison. But yeah we should squash the car industry to keep it that way.
Believe me, there have been attempts to remove them from the wheel.
Gee what if we could take these cars, make them bigger, link them together, then put them on steel rails and under catenary wires? Congratulations, your car industry has evolved into: train industry! Siemens, Stadler, Alstom and CAF need some more competition.
