I know some people will add spices or herbs to their coffee grinds before pouring water on it, I think nutmeg or cinnamon are popular spices and roasted Chicory roots or roasted dandelion roots are popular herbal additives.

I sometimes add some cardamom to my beans before grinding them 🥰
yeah that’s another one I tried once and messed up, it was a bit too overpowering for the coffee but I could see why it’d be nice to add to the pot.
