I’ve always hated that fucking brand, especially when douchebros with multiple popped collars (yes, they used to do that) that faked a lisp in the early 2000s to try to get heterosexually laid wore that overpriced fake vintage shit like a uniform.
I’m both not surprised and a bit vindicated because that former CEO had takes about “no ugly people in his stores” and other cryptofascist shit for decades.
NOT AT ALL surprising, given how they hypersexualized children
Ever see that silly thing that Abercrombie-wearing boys would do back in the early 2000s where they’d ritually “wipe their faces” with their shirts to try to show off their abs, sometimes in groups like preening peacocks?
Looking back, that was the CEO creep culturally grooming his own customers.
it’s always the people you most expect.
Also, I forgot what this guy looked like, with his Gary Busey ass face.
Yeah he looks like Busey having an allergic reaction to a bee sting yet has the nerve to call other people ugly.
Mike Jeffries, Matt Smith, and Jim Jacobson.
Fake ass sounding, cracker names.
Bro Bro, Bro Broson, and Bro McBro.
The biggest douche bags always wore this.
The softcore Sea Pea ads had a diddler CEO? Who’d a thunk?
That guy was talking about ‘no ugly people’???
It was a standing policy (no idea how enforced) that he didn’t want “ugly” people working or shopping at his grooming pavilions.
A few years ago, they lost a lawsuit about how stores would make non-white employees work in the back while white employees got to work on the floor getting commissions. IIRC there were internal documents about blonde haired, blue eyed people having “that All-American look” and people not fitting that description should be scheduled to do other tasks (like working in back sorting boxes).
Fascists being traffickers and sex predators again
Very similar to the cases shown in the documentary, but in the entertainment industry:
