This was actually my life a few years ago.

I was hardening our applications to stop scraping and automation bots.

Then contributing to open-source to have better scraping and automation.

I wasn’t purposely creating loop holes or anything because that’s highly illegal. It’s about making sure both sides “play nice”, because the automation bots are frequently used by spammers/evildoers.

During jury duty, we got all sorts of shit for even whispering which court room we are going to. We were all numbers and even addressed ourselves as a number. And we were threatened repeatedly with fines and prison sentences.

I was looking at houses in my neighborhood on Zillow and the house was gorgeous, but I rolled my eyes when I saw the old rates.
