You make a good point, but the problem remains the same. We still need some of us to be willing to clean up the shit to preserve the truth.
I’m not sure I understand how your last sentiment relates. 🙃

You’re blaming humanity for being the way that it simply is. The lesson is that people don’t have the time or attention to fact check, and frankly I think we should have known that. We got complacent. So, now those of us who get it have to step in and make better competing systems.
If facts are going to win, it seems they need to win stealthily, really like they always have. Science and engineering took over the world with probably less than 1% of people really having any idea how anything actually works. Objective morality in terms of universal human rights and behavioral science can be integrated into a better regulated social media, for example. It just has to be more appealing somehow and easier to access. It also has to be sexy and come with some status, and other benefits.
I have no idea what that looks like, but thst is the mission progressives now must contend with. We have to win back people’s attention and convince them ours is the better way for them.
Sound like something out of a TV drama. Imagine saying this to their faces haha. Imagine someone said that of you? It’s just an awesome thought. ;) 😉
Ben Shapiro is a hypocritical piece of shit. Sorry that might not be relevant.
Centaur World is incredible. Best kids show I’ve seen as an adult. They need your viewership to make more crazy stuff.
Dude wants to help Musk become president.
What about the 100 or so lawsuits? Will they be making the next election count even more relia… oh you don’t know what I’m talking about? Oh…
The dude claims the Democrats want to end democratic elections, despite Trunk’s literal attempts to overturn a free and fair election, last time, and this time by planting loyalist governors he hopes won’t certify a Democratic win.
He’s jumping for joy on stage because what he sees is the freedom for himself to do whatever the fuck he wants without being regulated, and you even be given a role in government where he gets to make his own rules.
Dipshit is a much more relatable summary I think.
Not yet, but he’s already eyeing a role in government. Wouldn’t surprise me if he eventually manipulated Trump into creating a special class of immigrant citizens who receive naturalization because of “service to the nation” granted by the president or some such.
If they listen to you, they will lose. But that’s a good thing, so I hope you’re right. Unlikely, but the worse Trump’s loss the better.
It’s a pretty good assumption. You’d have to be a complete shit popsicle to vote for someone worse on all the issues you care about, because the party that gives any fucks whatsoever isn’t doing enough.
Don’t forget who some of the investors are who helped Elon buy Twitter either. In case you missed the story.
I guess it’s not the Ciabatta I know. Light on the inside, crispy on the outside.
The light crispy stuff though. It’s still common in NZ. Love it.
When did Ciabatta buns go out of vogue?
There is still shit to block when you’re paying for premium, so yeah.
If I recall Coyote Peterson’s crew ate some… yep, haha. They definitely thought some of the essence of dung carried over to the final product.
It all depends who RFK takes votes from and in which states. RFK has some appeal to classical liberals who dabble in science denial, and I think they’ve long been part of Trump’s base bizarrely - so yeah, more votes for RFK is less votes for Trump now in most cases.
Gotcha. I hear ya. I guess what I’m saying is, in the same way capitalism has effectively produced an oligharchical coup-de-tat of society, in the same way progressivism needs to find a way to do the same, and do it better.
The modern Internet and information landscape has broken participatory democracy to the point I don’t think the truth can beat lies and misinformation, such that it could ever be the basis for most people’s vote.
Therefore, ironically I think we must leverage the same tools and techniques being used to spread lies and misinformation in service of the truth. That is play Donald Trump and the New Right’s game against them, and do it better.
“Weird” was almost that, but it was accidental. It wasn’t evidence of change in communication strategy by the Dems, sadly. We should be doing more of this. Constantly embarrassing and insulting Trump and his cronies, and making them look lost, weal, and out of control. Things like that. Selective truths intended to get an emotional populist response, and sustain it for four years.
Also, Swift 2028 (lol)
