I’ve been using this app for years and sometimes it’s almost super stable. Sometimes things don’t load and an update or restart is required to fix it.

It’s a perceived contrast. 4000:1 is the true contrast ratio, but if you produce enough bright white, then the surrounding dark grays will look black. So visibly it’s more contrasty, but the catch is allowing the monitor to control your brightness and contrast levels. It’s also probably perceived in a darker room.
I think his whole point is that it’s still over the counter like Aleve. Just at a lower dosage, but you’re still getting it over the counter. Take 2 Aleves for the same 500mg effect.
Regardless of score bragging, it requires some technical knowledge and pixel peeping to really be able to tell, and even then I can’t guarantee you can. I would imagine your average Joe wouldn’t even know any better.
