12·11 days agoFood preparation wasn’t as well understood then as it is today and pork carried with it a risk that poultry, beef and others didn’t hence the rules against eating it.
My cat will take a chunk out of any bread left on a countertop. He somehow also seems to love garlic and onion flavoured things despite their apparent toxicity. Naturally I won’t feed him those but he makes a solid effort to swipe them if I turn away.

As a bartender, if someone is picking up a to go order it’s expected that they won’t tip.
Most places mark Togo orders such that the staff aren’t tipping out on them (for obvious reasons) so it shouldn’t make a difference to the worker that they didn’t get a tip on it.
