I will try in the Linux community. I was planning to look at the drives suggested and look up compatability afterwards and if someone knew one that worked that would have just been a bonus.

Yes, sorry English is not my first language so sometimes I make mistakes.
As for the Linux thing it was more that sometimes hardware just doesn’t work with it, that is why I mentioned it. I was more looking for a recomendation on a dvd or blu-ray (with cd capability for ps1 games) drive that people had good experience with.
Sorry I thought you would have a recommendation for a decent external disk drive do I could back up and run my ps2 games through emulation.
Personally, I think you are probably stuck with Windows for now, since I imagine you really don’t want to learn a whole slew of new programs (that might or might not do everything you want) in my very uninformed opinion.
Internet connectivity should be mostly fine but that can depend on hardware sometimes.
Gaming is in general not a problem if you have Steam, Heroic, Lutris, Bottles and Protonup QT. But look into ProtonDB to see which runs and which doesn’t.
But for much of the professional software it will become a hassle. You could look into CrossOver by Codeweavers (a paid version of Wine) and see what compatability that brings. But for the most part I think you would probably have to setup a Windows Virtual Machine with GPU Passthrough.
Triban RC100 has these no name Dual Pivot (if got the terminology right).
I might have found an easier and cheaper option. On this reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/bicycling/comments/1266tr6/triban_rc100_sora_drivetrain_upgrade/?tl=fr They install a a Shimano Sora groupe with a 9 speed cassette on the stock rims, so I wondered if a Advent 1x9 or 1x10 would work.
You kind of beat me to the punch but I saw this reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/bicycling/comments/1266tr6/triban_rc100_sora_drivetrain_upgrade/?tl=fr
And wondered if the stock rim could accomodate the advent 1x9 or 1x10?
What do you think?
Would make finding e erything a lot easier.
Do you think the levers would work with my rim brakes? I heard it could make the brakes dangerous if the levers are not correct.
I was thinking of using the Sensah Pro derailler and levers, that is if the mechanical levers are compatible with my rim brakes.
The derailler can go up to 50 or 52 teeth I think.
Thank you for your awnser, the reason I asked is because apperently the road and mtb cassettes are different length.Due to these types of complications I got lost.
I just saw for example that the group set might not be compatible because they are for mechanical disk brakes and only certain rim brakes are compatible. So I might be even further from getting the parts than I thought.
I must say, I must have gotten lucky for years while gaming because I had never experienced stick drift and only heard of it in the last few years.
Broken buttons, that I did experience.
No clue but they do exist. Here is an older German news report https://youtu.be/gfGqZzAdzyM?si=a0djmd50-clPc_so
They have allready spread to Germany.
Just to be pedantic, this would be a dick pic pre-camera.
Yes kind of, they still have a minimum speed people need to adhere to.
Well it is in the name, endurance RACES. It is a race not a test of pure endurance. To test pure endurance you would need to start running or walking or swimming at your own pace and continue till you drop to the ground and the one that can do that for the longest would have the best endurance.
Weren’t there just credible leaks on a sequel to Half Life Alyx that may or may not be Half Life 3.
Better late than never.
Let’s hope it doesn’t get destroyed by idiots.
Considering it is free to use, with streaming, voice/video calling , it surprises me that the enshitification didn’t start earlier.
Well it is both funny and depressing to follow someones descent into madness.
