Drag very often gets called a troll on Lemmy for using different pronouns than most people.

A troll is someone who tries to upset other people. Why would using different pronouns upset others?

Drag will tell you why: because a lot of people have already made up their mind to misgender drag because they don’t respect different pronouns. But in their hearts they do know right from wrong. So they feel guilty. And that’s the bad feeling. They think drag is intentionally trying to make them do the wrong thing and feel guilty.

The times we’re enduring are a consequence of forgetting that killing Nazis is the best thing the western world ever did. We’ve become a culture that abhors violence and tolerates intolerance. And that’s not an accident, it’s a propaganda campaign. The government wants us to be passive and toothless. So it tells us that the only legitimate use of violence is the state. It tells us to follow the law and trust in the system.

The system is broken! The time to fight is now!

We should take joy in our survival. When the lion kills an antelope, it feels the thrill of the hunt. It enjoys the taste of the meat. Killing is a horrible wrong and meat shouldn’t be eaten. But the lion doesn’t have a choice. There are no vegan lions. And if the lion must eat meat, then it should enjoy eating meat. Evolution made it enjoy eating meat so it would have an easier time surviving.

We should do everything we can to make our survival easier. Like the lion, we should learn to find joy in living another day. Like the lion, we don’t have a choice on whether to use violence. There is no time for us to have empathy for our murderers. We should meditate on these feelings until we’ve overcome them.

You meant that you’re more comfortable being killed by a Nazi in a government office signing some paperwork than being killed by a Nazi who uses their own two hands.

Drag doesn’t really understand that kind of mindset. Dead is dead. Danger is danger. And treating danger less seriously because it wears a suit and tie will get us all killed.

Some people were worried they wouldn’t allow users to advocate violence, which is bad. The rationale was that Dutch law supposedly prohibited it. Experiments were done and it was determined the admins allow advocating violence, which is good. But the site is full of power mods who remove calls for violence anyway, so it doesn’t really matter what the admins allow.

It’s really awful when someone follows you over tons of communities replying to you because they didn’t like one of your posts. Drag is very sorry you had to go through that.

Drag does express drag’s trauma in this performative way. The transphobia trauma, not the child abuse trauma. Drag isn’t a kid anymore, what’s done is done. But drag is still trans and still feels the need to remind everyone that Nazis are bad. That’s why drag empathises with someone who has the same response to the other trauma.

If you don’t have a fight response, that’s a you thing, not a universal fact of reactions to trauma. Drag knows what a fight response is like.

Drag doesn’t, it’s just… drag understands being full of hate because of your trauma. Drag has empathy for that. What drag doesn’t have empathy for is this argument. Drag doesn’t understand the emotions going on here.
