6·1 year agohonestly I don’t care about becoming the eye of sauron, I think federation being use it or lose it is a good thing since not all communities/magazines are worth having around imo
it’s not that they’re hardcore marxists but that they are tankies, you can find a lot of discussions about this out there
we can see feddit.de but they cannot see us
feddit.de does (https://feddit.de/instances) due to fmhy being open registration
although not blocked by beehaw despite them also not liking open registration
2·1 year agoI think this is closer to federated Discourse rather than phpBB. Not sure if federation is worth it for forums though.

Arch Linux. Always very up-to-date and the AUR is huge. No dealing with PPAs or snaps or flatpaks or appimages. Just
paru -S any-software-ever-made. Also very streamlined (systemd for everything lol) and well documented. I tried NixOS for a bit but it was very inconvenient in comparison and I felt like it was impossible to tinker with or understand if you weren’t good at Haskell. Terrible documentation.For servers it’s definitely Debian + docker.
