  • For chaos The Ahriman omnibus follows Ahriman from thr thousand sons legion after the heresy and is a fun story. It’s got lots of thousand sons warp fuckery and some great characters.

The night lords omnibus is one of the first 40k books I read going into 40k with not a whole lot of knowledge. It’s still probably my favorite 40k book, the characters are written incredibly well, the dark moments of horrific comedy are there, it features some great fights.

Fabius bile omnibus follows fabius bile of the emperors children legion in what’s essential a great mad scientist story. Once again great characters and a fun story definitely worth the read.

The lion son of the forest is a very new 40k that follows the lions return to the setting. From what I remember it doesn’t require a whole lot of backstory to be neccesary, as it explains a lot along the way. It’s very involved with some dark angels space marine characters so I could be a decent jumping off point of sorts.

  • I started the horus heresy pretty late and really wanted to get to the siege of Terra books. I found going through the flowcharts and googling “horus heresy minimum reading list” gave me a list of the major arcs of stuff that happens, that is fairly important by the time seige of terra happens. Reading through the responses, I’d say Scars and path of heaven are really good, and also really flesh out the white Scars Legion in a fun way. So far I’ve really enjoyed the siege though. I’m part way through echoes of eternity and found all the books so far to be a worthwhile read (mortis is very long though). If you do want to skip past it to 40k thousands sons stuff though, the Ahriman Series is a really fun read with some great characters!

  • Did it work right out if the box or did you have to connect to update it first? I haven’t bought a tv for some years but I just use a laptop connected to my tv to stream anything, so all the smart features are pretty useless to me. I was wondering if it was possible to keep it a “dumb” tv by simply never connecting it to the internet or updating it.
