If you pivot to “I will place Republicans in my cabinet” then you also need to stop calling Republicans weird.
It’s been wild watching the campaign more or less retrace Clinton’s losing strategy.

See those “pinch points”? The river will eventually form meander cutoffs, and become a sinuous system rather than a meandering river. This will lead to localized increases in channel slope (due to a reduction in channel length), and therefore increased local velocities, shear stress, and sediment transport.
Rivers are always seeking equilibrium, so the channel will actually start to move (bank erosion / lateral shifting) to reduce that localized slope and bring things back in order.
Rivers are so fucking cool.
I can’t stand Biden for so many different reasons, but one of the few good things he’s done is putting her in to lead the FTC.
A few hits:
That last one got fucked up by a right wing judge in Texas, but I want to point out that the FTC issued the non-compete ban based on existing rulemaking authority.
Khan is very aware of anti-trust rules that are on the books, but haven’t been applied in the neoliberal era. She is the first FTC chair in decades to start applying them.
That is why so many billionaires are publicly calling for her to be fired.
Again, I think Biden is awful, but Khan as FTC chair is a very good thing.
If you want to read more about her record, check out The American Prospect. David Dayen is a journalist that writes about monopolies pretty heavily, he is a huge fan of what Khan is doing.
Anyone who places a chain link fence across a body of water can fuck right off
The American Prospect has some really good recent articles about this. We’ve entered a new age of personal pricing. Companies have so much data on us that the price that I see when I visit a website is no longer necessarily the price that you see.

Wait a bit.
Look up the difference between limerence and love.
Walz was the least worst option. Take a positive comrade.
Talk to your surgeon. They’re probably more competent than you’re giving them credit for. Good luck.
Rather than sticking with the “republicans are threats to democracy” talking point, Dems are pushing a “republicans are weirdos” talking point.
Surprising. Hopefully it helps them win office.
We don’t have to be miserable all the time comrades.
Libs will simultaneously hold the following opinions:
“Trump will destroy democracy by welding the powerful tools he has as president”
“Biden really can’t do all the things he promised because the president actually isn’t that powerful”
Ya it’s so weird how there’s always just one or two darn senators that stop all the good things that the Democrats totally definitely want to do. So weird that it keeps happening.
Bernie, AOC, Ilhan Omar, Cori Bush, they’re all steadfastly supporting Biden, when now would be the easiest time for someone to publicly say that they think he should step down.
So, am I missing something? As in, have they all made a calculation that Biden is less bad compared to a Kamala Harris / Gavin Newsom etc?
Or am I over thinking it? I was mulling this over last night.
Thanks for reminding me that Neera Tanden is part of the cabinet lol
You’ve never heard of The State, have you?
This. This would be an amazing outcome. If only because it would result in the republicans pushing to end the electoral college.
Good thing nothing important ever happens after 8pm.
LMAO they’re admitting he’s only coherent during the day
They wouldn’t have immunity for that crime (since it was performed while VP). However once they become president they could just pardon themselves.
I want someone older, with more experience
Abortion rights were lost while Democrats controlled the White House and both chambers of congress. What does that tell you about the Democrats?
