I’m just dumbfounded by this behavior because it makes me wonder what could happen if these people were replaced with people who actually care about the work itself and the quality of it. Y’know, the whole reason we have workplaces.

If I’m too stupid to see the daily benefit to me, then you must have the sufficient intelligence to see it I suppose. Which also puts the burden of listing those benefits on you. Sure the governments do stuff like funding infrastructure etc. But if you could at least read and think on a high school level, you would have understood that what I’m saying is not about the government doing literally nothing. I’m saying for the amount of money they collect, the things they achieve or put in service of you is negligible.

AI is just another reason for layoffs for companies that are underperforming. It’s more of a buzzword to sell the company to investors. I haven’t seen people actually use AI anywhere in my large ass corp yet.
