Those hours were safely recalled from your memory by the government Bureau of Memetics to protect your peace of mind. Thank you for your understanding.

And 4chan has already been the recipient of government scrutiny, including a lawsuit attempting to shut them down.
Uh, idk about the side panels of that truck, but that glass sure as shit isn’t strong enough to handle the ERA going off. That’s a death sentence for anyone in the cabin.
My wife took my name because she liked it better than hers. Although if we had known that where we live, you can change your name to whatever you want when you get a marriage license, then we would have picked something cooler.
We couldn’t decide on something on the spot though.
No, you just don’t seem to be understanding what I’m saying, or the point of the article linked. The source is the users, of course. What I’m saying is that they didn’t come from twitter. They’ve always been on Steam, just as they’ve always been on twitter or facebook.
And so, it logically follows that if you blame twitter for not dealing with users like that, then you must, by necessity, blame Valve for not dealing with them either.
Thanks, I think I’ll give that a look then. Mind you, I fully intend on continuing the slog through Stormlight, just because everyone assures me it’s worth it, but I listen to these books as audiobooks since I don’t get a lot of time that I’m sitting and can read from an actual book, so if an author uses a whole first volume as world building, that’s about forty hours I have to get through before things start picking up.
Do you legitimately think that any use of the words “what about” makes something whataboutism?
No, that’s not what makes it whataboutism. That’s just a funny bit of your comment. What makes it whataboutism is your continued insistence that the problematic behavior is sourced from elsewhere. That’s not how things work. The right-wing extremism on Steam isn’t a symptom of extremism elsewhere. It isn’t sourced from elsewhere. It’s there on Steam, because the source for it is the same on Steam as it is on Twitter, right-wing extremist users. Suggesting that it is derived from the other sites implies that Valve is less responsible for it than other sites, which doesn’t make any sense. Furthermore, your argument in your comment is based on your perception of victimhood of video games by other media, which isn’t relevant to the conversation at all.
And finally, the fact that Steam supposedly has, by your estimation and without any supporting evidence, less right-wing extremism than other sites doesn’t make the problem better or worse for Valve. It’s still a problem, and it’s one they have to deal with. Not twitter, not Facebook, and not anyone else.
I’ve seen the videos of boot instructors being rightfully paranoid that the boots are gonna drop the live grenades during training, I feel like adding these into the mix would straight up give them heart attacks.
You literally said “what about” in your comment. You specifically argued that the problem lay elsewhere, and Steam is just a symptom. Attempting to absolve Steam of culpability in the problem because “games get blamed above other media” is absolutely whataboutism. It’s a bad argument.
Absolutely those platforms are a bigger problem, but your argument isn’t a very good one. Yes, we should go after those platforms. Yes, we should also go after Steam. Whataboutism never solved any problems.
The US would never do this. Too much money to be made in the prison industry with legalized slavery. Much better investment to put them behind bars to generate profit.
You’re still avoiding the question. How are you advocating for “peaceful, dovish, and isolationist” countries if neither Russia or China is any of those things?
And don’t keep trying that “well that’s just your viewpoint” bullshit. You and I both know neither of those countries could be objectively described with any of those adjectives, no matter how much you want to try to justify them.
You do realize how insane it is that you posted that unironically, right?
Neither Russia or China are peaceful, dovish, or isolationist. You know that, you aren’t an idiot. The fact that you don’t care, and are only ignoring imperialism when it’s a nation you like doing it is what makes you a tankie, and a hypocrite.
You know what the question is. We both know you aren’t stupid.
Since neither Russia nor China is peaceful, dovish, or isolationist, what are you on about?
You posted all that, and didn’t even answer the damn question.
People living in other countries aren’t deciding. It’s a change.org petition, it doesn’t mean shit.
Idk why you put “just another opinion” in quotes as if they said that, which they most certainly fucking did not. At best, casually inferring they support nazi propaganda is intellectually bankrupt. At worst, it’s a calculated insult on your part.
Either way, your argument isn’t a good one, because you didn’t even address their argument, you just invented one to disagree with.
To be fair, Discord has been feeling the heat for a while, on multiple fronts and for multiple reasons. Not the least of which was a dumbass leaking classified information to his teenage buddies.
