This remembers me of the 2013 protests in Brazil that helped oust Dilma Roussef. Started as a legitimate movement and then got coopted by right wing forces. The liberal media criticized the protests in the beginning but then started supporting it.

And no other government besides Israel has criticized Lula’s speech.
