Jensen can keep his GPUs, the way AAA gaming is going I’ll be playing indies for the foreseeable future or playing on console. I have evolved into a patient gamer. It also has the advantage that if I want to see some theorycrafting I won’t be swamped with youtube suggestions about pronouns or diversity. I’m not starting to use an account, I’m not American nor am I a conservative google, stop trying. I’m fine with different looking people in my games telling different stories. Also, TLOUII was one the greatest games of all time.

You mean, aesthetically, Shadow of the Colossus, Ico and the Last Guardian? The games BotW aped? And that’s just aesthetically. BotW is every single Ubisoft open world dumbed down for children with a couple of garry’s mod dodaads added to the mix. The execution and polish are top notch but there isn’t a single innovative bone to BotW, there’s ample refinement but nothing new. I invite you to expand your played games repertoire to include some of the ones I mentioned. Ueda is nothing short of genius.

Don’t fret, it’s only a 3 month exclusive and it’s going to take them a minimum of 1y for the game to reach a state worthy of being sold. This is one for the patient gamers both on PC and the consoles.

Microsoft should rebrand to Tumorsoft. They have metastisised to an absolutely megalodon of a corporate structure with no redeeming qualities. Their position is justified by nothing other than their legacy of being the default bundled OS on almost every single computer. How this wasn’t already prosecuted to the ground is beyond me. They have “allegedly” bribed several government officials to stop the terrain Linux was making within the EU and suffered exactly 0 consequences.

So a studio owned by the company that also owns the azure infrastructure and has real time access to sales data was caught by surprise by the sales of their game and failed to boot up a couple more Vms to serve paying customers… Right, sounds totally legit and not penny pinching at all.

They are based in Kyiv and the team moved away from UA. If they were based in the Eastern part of the country, the game would have been in development hell forever.

Inject them straight into my arm please. Also, Amy Henning is an absolute treasure and I miss her writing. I lost track of her work once she left Naughty Dog. She shaped so much of the good narratives we still have in an age where every game is written like a care bear episode.

This is what happens when an American monopoly giant tries to “spend sony out of the business”. Acquisition wars are bad for consumer. Hell, anything MS does is bad for the consumer. Now we have sony playing defence to make sure they don’t get excluded from yet another franchise via dumping.

And yes, what MS is doing with GP is dumping.

These people, like Musk, think laying on a couch with a pen in your hand pondering about random shit to be hard work. That’s where they come up with this kind of BS. That and being from a higher cast and never having worked a single honest day in his life and making a fortune out of corruption and networking.

Different strokes to different folks. Perhaps my longer experience with games makes me more blasé with the mechanics or other features of BotW. I found FC3 and BotW equally tedious in terms of core gameplay loop, except FC3, actually had a plot and occasional sublime moments that made finishing it less of a chore. BotW is an empty sandbox with a handful of enemies (even less if you consider more HP and different colour as not counting as new enemies) and forgettable characters and story. The technical side of it is quite impressive as is the visual design, however everything else is painfully mid.

That said, I disliked the combat in TW3 or the Batman and Spider Man series for being too floaty and unresponsive so, I’m overly picky I guess.

The PS4 pro had a much more compelling price position, however, the landing was pretty much the same.

Games not in the list of enhanced titles are not enhanced by the PS5 pro.

People who do not realize this are the same room temp IQ people who bough a PS5 pro.
