There are tech savvy people in every generation and some dumbos. IMO the low bar for being tech savvy has nothing to do with PDFs, it’s whether or not you can install a functioning operating system on a device. Anyone who can do that can figure out any of that other stuff.
Agree, but right now we have bigger fish to fry. We are in chemotherapy mode to save democracy, anything that hurts Tesla is good for now. We can debate the pros and cons of the dealership business model if we survive.

The voter turnout was very low, Trump’s active supporters are more like a third of the country, which is still too much, but not insurmountable. And many of those were just one issue voting dummies. I think Trump’s hardcore base is closer to 20%.

No one is looking to incite a civil war, even if many people on both sides fantasize about it. War is grueling and terrible and we are still too comfortable to risk it. BUT. I think preparing ourselves for the eventuality is wise. Really the best move we could make would be a general strike. It’d be a bloodless deathblow to this stupid stupid situation.

Yes and that is not sustainable, eventually you gotta pay the piper. At some point you have to be profitable. LLMs are great at a very limited use case, but these tech charlatans want to shove it everywhere for everything and it pisses most of us off. I can’t imagine any regular person paying for it.

AI companies are massively in debt and have a product that ranges from utter shit to kinda okay, and absolutely no sane way to monetize it.
