It’s the second comment that jumps on that word as if it diminishes the argument. “Some” is purely a quantifier which I used because clearly not everyone is calling her like that, and this was - in fact - a niche news that a few articles spoke about.

And no, the German law of course only applies to people in Germany. Now what would happen if Rowling would set foot in Germany would be interesting, but I don’t think even then much would happen. Ehrlich gesagt weiss ich nicht wann ich zuletzt laute Verfechter des Gendern gehört habe. Konservative hingegen höre ich viel zu viel darüber reden. Ich bin in meinem ganzen Leben auch noch nie irgendwie gedrängt worden Genderneutrale Sprache zu verwenden.

Verdammt viele soziale Ungerechtigkeiten in der Geschichte waren Anfangs extrem unpopulär und ein verdammt harter Kampf.
