It can be argued that the Kennedy tax cuts paid for themselves. Other examples like the Baltic states that switched to a flat income tax and sales tax is more due to moving to something simple and more difficult to cheat.

Default after Pixel 5 is to bring up Google Assistant with a long press of the power button.

And to get the reboot option on Pixels, long press Power and Volume Up. Infinitely more annoying than just long pressing the power button.

I wish they would cite numbers proving this. Usage on another platform does not necessarily indicate an exodus. Bluesky may have seen a jump in users by a million but that only puts it up to 17 million users which is not much compared to Twitter’s 250 million daily users.

There is a slight learning curve to Mastodon. Is there a method for verifying accounts? Honest question there. I signed up for Mastodon years ago but I used it as often as I used Twitter which is to say never.
