This was absolutely a book cover for a fantasy novel. Can we go back to these? Please?

Nice try, FBI man… Nice try…
Every time anime studios do this the new one just feels completely sterilized. The art style did a lot of heavy lifting of old anime. While a good story is always good, the new art style can really make an okay story seem worse.
Trigun, IMO, is a good example that suffered greatly from this. Even though the writing on a technical level was better in the new one, I still found the art style of the original made the original vastly superior overall.
While I am interested to see more, I am concerned this will follow the rest of modern “sterilized” anime. It feels like the difference between being in an Adventurer’s Guild vs being in a Hospital.
Genuinely shocked they didnt include “dont mine at night.”
Which is exactly why the US senator that said this is a left-wing Democrat, right?
Politics is so tiresome.
Absolutely no chance it wins any of them though.
Not because it doesn’t deserve to win at least one, it definitely does, but because the people who count for 90% of the vote were literally writing misinformation riddled hit pieces and for some reason think that Chinese gamers are only 3/5ths of a gamer or something (to discredit the large player count).
Yeah, its not just the Tankies that make Lemmy so toxic. Unfortunately.
What in the FuwaMoco am I looking at, and why do these characters look so similar?
Doesn’t really matter because it still suffers from lack of tactile buttons. Trying to play with a touchscreen that offers no actual feedback for its buttons is an awful experience, especially for the crimes against humanity one must commit to press the shoulder buttons.
By “turning America into an unsafe place” do you mean to accuse the Democrats, one of which is behind this?
Extremist as defined by who? Valve lets the customer decide what is too extreme for them, which is how it should be.
This should be illegal. They own Crunchyroll and bought Funimation, both massive distributers of anime outside of Japan.
Now they want Kadokawa, the source that is inside Japan.
Also, after their Concord blunder I didn’t know they could even afford to buy Kadokawa.
Turns out I have been hallucinating when Nog is listening to Vince Fontaine and sharing a room with Jake.
This whole time I remembered that as a Wesley episode.
At least I only have to worry about seeing Wesley for only one episode.
EDIT: Actually I dont have to worry about him at all, because I was hallucinating one episode ans replacing Nog with Wesley for some reason.
Nah, they were new bugs, not ones present in the original game. Bugs in the original graphics mode that made some parts too dark and others too bright, for example. Or the wrong texture being used on the wrong surface. That kind of thing.
I don’t mind if bugs from the original release are left in there. IMO, if it was part of the experience back when the game was new and was never fixed, then unless its some egregious error that could brick your console or PC, I think it should be left in exactly as it was. But new bugs that were only present in the Anniversary and later MCC releases, that’s just embarrassing for 343/Halo Studios.
This isn’t surprising though. As an Xbox player, I would fully expect a game that has been out for years and received many major updates in its lifetime to be a gargantuan download size by now.
EDIT: LOL, making an article out of literally nothing. Their quoted comments are like, 2 upvotes here, 6 upvotes there, and one with a MASSIVE 100 upvotes, whoopee!
This makes me sad. No preschool teacher should have to ever do this. Nobody should have to do this.
Bugs, for one. So many, many bugs. Bugs that remained unfixed for years.
Also, graphics. I don’t mean fidelity, because fidelitywise they were pretty good for the time. I mean the complete change in art style. Anything forerunner became riddled with lines that made the designs overly busy. The reuse of Reach assets instead of actually remaking the assets to match the original game. Its like at that point, are they even remastering the game? Not to mention how many changes to the environment models were inaccurate enough to cause players to try to shoot through or walk through invisible collision geometry of the original game.
Its so unfortunate that 343 messed up CE Anniversary so badly. But at least they did a lot better with Halo 2 Anniversary (though that is also not without its issues).
Now with a rebrand to Halo Studios, which was 100% caused by their poor stewardship of the series and the ruining of their own reputation beyond redemption, 343 will have to super-over-deliver with whatever they come out with next.
And I pray it is not a CE Remake. They messed it up already once before, just leave it alone and do something different with Halo. Make ODST 2 or some new story about a new Spartan entirely, I am tired of my favorite characters and stories being butchered these days.
I actually tried to purchase this IP from its current owner (at the time about 8 or so years ago), who IIRC used to be a CFO or some other financial executive at 3DO. He was a nice guy, but we didn’t agree on the value of the IP.
I think its really strange that they are only re-releasing on exactly the same platform. I can only imagine this means all the source code is completely lost, and the IP owner has no interest in selling or something.
I think a remaster with online multiplayer could be a lot of fun. Like the arcade version of World of Tanks.
