Doing that pixel by pixel sounds like a ton of work, but it really paid off! And the Gen 2 sprites are definitely impressive, especially because I don’t think pixel art was a thing back then, so they had to come up with their own techniques and couldn’t just google stuff.

I really like how the face and ears look so round despite the square pixels. It’s always impressive when a complex design is “compressed” to fit into a small pixel art grid and still looks this good. Also a very cute character :3

Old school Minecraft minigames were my jam back in the day, too. That moment when a bunch of Efficiency shovels appeared in your inventory and the game started was very special and exciting.

I joined Lemmy a bit over a year ago, after the API thing on reddit, and I really like that the communities here feel a bit more personal and that I recognise a lot of names. There are big communities that are just as anonymous as on reddit, but at least the ones I’m in are like that. So yeah, doing very fine uwu. And you?
