I have an interest in opensource software, weird/bad movies and alternative music.
Mediocre Sidaris is still entertaining Sidaris…
I’m glad that you had fun with this! :)
By following the #monsterdonalert hashtag, you will find out what the next movie is going to be. Probably by Tuesday or Wednesday.
This B-movie is very The Day the Earth Stood Still-like, and it has a bit of the last (wo)men on earth thrown into it.
One of Quentin Tarantino’s favourite blaxploitation movies. It’s pretty excellent but remains very underseen.
Oh, I missed that. That’s awesome! :)
I’m a huge fan of Tsui. He’s one of the most consistent filmmakers coming out of Hong Kong in decades. The man just has an intrinsic understanding of what is entertaining and he always delivers.
Tsui Hark’s epic fantasy adventurer is filled with sensational wire-fu action, fantastic special effects and beautiful sets.
Yeah, it’s a total blast! I’m glad you (guys) had fun with it as well. :)
Go watch it again! :)
A bit of Tremors, a bit of The Thing, with some Aliens sprinkled in there as well. Starring RoboCop himself, Peter Weller.
Yep, that’s Roddy McDowall.
Pitt does indeed play the rebel.
A really entertaining slasher × black comedy hybrid movie directed by Rospo Pallenberg (who has writing credits on Exorcist II: The Heretic and Excalibur).
A classic B-movie with a great spooky vibe. The perfect movie to watch around/on Halloween. 🎃
A classic of the giant irradiated creature genre…
There’s less (exposed) boobs in this than you might think. 🙈
Eh, I’ve seen worse. ¯_ (ツ)_/¯
It’s great schlock!
Oops! You’re right. Thanks for notifying me. I edited the link (it might need a couple of minutes for the change to federate).
Basically 80+ minutes of the floor is lava. It’s a good time though, especially when you go into it with low expectations…
Wears its influences on its sleeve (Ridley Scott’s Alien), but The Dark Side of the Moon is still enjoyable for what it is: sci-fi schlock with bits of horror sprinkled throughout.
