2 years agoI’m also new here and I feel the same as you. I deleted my reddit account just before Sync died and ended up here (thanks for having me). I am still trying to figure out my way around the fediverse but I’ll get there. Lemmy feels a bit rough around the edges but honestly it has a certain charm to it that way.
I just want to give a shout out to Subnautica. I’ve been having a blast playing it for the last two weeks. In my opinion, it’s actually the best game I have played in terms of the open world design. At the start of the game, there are just two map-related things on your hud, the location of the life pod where you start and a depth indicator. There is no mini map or a million question marks on a map and you don’t even start with a compass. I honestly had a lot of fun driving around in a submarine and placing beacons in each biome to sort of make my own map. Exploration is a lot of fun in this game.
