  • Dude. Any one of the European countries doing this is as small as one of our states. Even the largest ones aren’t the same size and scale as our largest ones. Then each state is diverse to a suprising level and has individual groups, laws and viewpoints that affect them all differently. And that’s all ignoring the politics of everything. And ignoring that Americans have zero safety nets for when they are out of work for something like a strike. Most don’t have enough food or money saved to survive a strike. You are very obviously ignorant of life here, whether you live here or not. A nationwide general strike is impossible here. When I see a coordinated strike across all of europe, you might have a point. And if a general strike is decided here I will be among the first to sign up. But until then you are too ignorant of the states and their people to make any assertion as to what is possible here.

  • You talk like I have any say on who gets to run. I don’t like Harris’ platform. I know it’s centrist garbage. But you know what’s worse? EVERYTHING that Trump is doing and planning. It doesn’t take much to see that. And when you only have 2 shit choices, going with the less shit option is preferable. So yes, it’s the fault of voters that we have trump. It’s the DNCs fault Harris was their top pick and that the primaries were a joke. But in the end it’s voters that pick and they decided between the living embodiment of “meh” and an orange cunt with muktiple felonies and a nasty track record of fucking over everything in his path, And the voters picked the orange cunt. The parties don’t vote. People do. And people were narcissistic twats that went off “the general vibe of things” instead of using any reasoning whatsoever. Try to scapegoat this shit all you want, but people are responsible for their choices.

  • I think many people already understood they vote with their feelings instead of their brain. They care more about how a candidate makes them feel than about their policies. They care more about “the vibe” than anything logical. And it’s fucking us all. A candidate shouldn’t have to stroke anyone’s fee fees, people should use the meat in their skull prison to make a sound and reasonable choice.

But i guess this country is certainly too stupid to make basic reasonable choices when presented with options. So you have a point. Don’t call them stupid or idiots because their feelings are more important to them than reason. Fucking cromagnon politics. Gonna be even more important when the DoE is ripped out.
