Wenn man einen Blick auf die Liste wirft beim Verbrauch dann ist eine Korrelation zwischen großem Auto + starker Antrieb = mehr Verbauch naheliegend. Ja der Smart und Model Y sind nicht weit auseinander. Jedoch bietet ein Vergleich noch keine gute Basis zu behaupten der Unterschied sei prinzipiell marginal.

Bin gerade in einem Projekt mit hochsensiblen Daten für eine Behörde. Die Infrastruktur ist weniger das Problem. Es gibt sogar ein richtig modernes Bestellportal für Resourcen. Paar Stunden später hast da deinen MSSQL fertig eingerichtet stehen. Klar kein Vergleich zu den Bereitstellungszeiten von Azure aber in der Regel irrelevant. Probleme sehe ich beim Personal und Organisationsstrukturen. Die Prozesse behindern einen einfach nur bei der Arbeit. Du möchtest einen Port freigeben? Ja klar, dann stellen wir mal einen Antrag, wird so 2-3 Wochen dauern. Das Personal eher mittelmäßig ausgebildet und motiviert. Ein paar Leute sind ganz gut dabei aber einige machen einfach nur das Mindestmaß und bremsen alle anderen. Da wird lieber über zwei Tage per Mail kommuniziert ob man jetzt wirklich den Bug selbst fixen soll anstatt das einmal zu kommunizieren und anschließend in 5 Minuten zu lösen.

Ich würde das nicht wollen, das sollte nur mit Bedacht und isoliert eingesetzteingesetzt werden. Das kann ein Projekt schon mal um ein zwei Jahre verzögern jedoch sind hier Prüfungen obligatorisch. Wie lange gibt es jetzt bereits Facebook oder Derivate? Würde sagen länger als zwei Jahre. Warum hat man das Projekt nicht umgesetzt?

In dem konkreten Fall sehe ich kein Problem darin Facebook Daten aus der API zu holen und die Auswertung anschließend lokal auszuführen. Für zeitverzögerte Gesichtserkennung im großen Maßstab reichen doch 2-3 dedizierte Server völlig aus.

Abschließend muss ich sagen dass “Cloud”, also AWS, Azure oder sonstige, nicht die Lösung für langfristige Projekte sein sollten. Die Kosten sind gegenüber Selfhosting signifikant höher (Gerade wenn man eh eine it braucht). Dazu kommen noch die Aspekte Datenschutz, Performance und Zugänglichkeit. Ebenso sollte man bedenken wie strategisch sinnvoll es ist kritische Prozesse auszulagern. Wie sinnvoll Outsourcing allgemein ist hat man mit Corona anhand der Weltwirtschaft gesehen.

Darin enthalten ist dann Bedienung eines CMS Systems für die Webseite, Posten der gleichen Inhalte auf Instagram und Co sowie Organisieren von Events wie ein Praktikumstag/Woche. Ansonsten bist noch Ansprechpartner wenn jemand mal ein neues Event für Schüler planen möchte.

Achja und eine Webseite wird da niemand “Erstellen”. Dafür ist man nicht qualifiziert. Das sollte ja wohl klar sein.

Für die Stelle kann man auch Chantal aus der 10. Klasse Realschule holen und die bekommt sowas gewuppt. Wer das mit Master machen möchte okay, aber beschweren über das Gehalt bei den Tätigkeiten muss man sich gewiss nicht.

Um da die Brücke zu meiner Empörung am Anfang zu schlagen: die Erwartungshaltung an Unternehmensberater sind auf einem anderem Niveau, dort wird erwartet dass man den kompletten Prozess auswendig kennt, mehrfache Erfahrung vorweisen kann, Hintergrundinfos hat sowie valide Alternativen empfehlen kann. Well, there are some hurdles to overcome first. Power consumptions for training is huge but maybe solve able in the future. Data storage for all kinds of metadata? Maybe, big data is a thing but also needs power. Streaming many devices to distributed data lakes? There will be a Problem. Data plans are mostly limited, streaming drains power of phones etc. Not very attractive for the consumer. My prediction is, that we’ll see personal AI assistants, they work on your phones or with home stations. Remind you of dates, motivate you to work out, help you write a letter, turn on the light, heat up the stove etc. The neat part is that this personal AI primary operates locally, so even with 6-7 cameras in and outside your home you won’t get any problems with power or data plans. The companies providing this service will not have to provide huge storages and computing power. But, they’ll be able fetch data, apply new algorithms to your personal assistant and collect their subscription fees.

That solutions gets us by the balls. It has advantages and only slight to none inconveniences for the light minded. So peoples, companies and States will thrive that this comes true.
