It’s pretty gimmicky for sure. The electronic setup on my road bike is pretty finicky too, id rather cables to be honest, but it’s just the way everything is going. It especially sucks when you are at the door all geared up and ready to go, and realize that one of your batteries is dead.
Hell it takes me the rightful owner a fair bit of careful maneuvering to get that thing off the bars (my mount needs to be both twisted while having the release latch pressed). Someone would surely be getting a few smacks upside the head as they were trying to do that. A MIPS powered headbutt or two, as well.
Wait’ll you find out about ebikes!
I mean it’s all e-waste at this point. My bikes are all carbon, which ain’t recyclable, plus the shifting is all electronic, and yeah my eMTB is a ticking timebomb that will be otherwise useless if either the battery or motor quits.
Honestly with the way the cycling industry has brainwashed most of the bicycle enthusiasts, they will have bought six different bicycles in the time this takes to break.
Otherwise, your point stands. I’m more of a Garmin Edge guy though, personally.
Don’t care. Call me when hockey is back on.
This could trigger a Minsky moment. And a world wide financial meltdown. Then he’ll just say haha just kidding. Once that genie is out of the bottle though, there’s no going back.
I’ve been wondering this past week if Canada Post could take advantage of this angst against America that we are all feeling, and start an all Canadian Amazon competitor. I mean Canada Post would for sure find a way to fuck this up, but they’ve already got the shipping network on lock. Start a marketplace.
I don’t know how you browse, but I use Boost for Lemmy on Android. You can filter your account to show Local, All, Subscribed, etc. I used to use it for Reddit and got so used to it, that it was worth the 8 or 9 bucks or whatever it cost.
This has to stop. OMG
Will someone please, for the love of God, get this organization an accountant and a financial planner?
No matter how much money we give these guys, the state of crime and this city continues to decline. Enough.
I’m just waiting for Cocaine Carney. You just know it’s coming.
Hi Yamaha!!
Couldn’t help myself lol. Neat guitar for sure!
I’m here for it too, I mean my PS5 sucks and I’m sick of spending thousands of dollars on my PC. I just have some doubts about the viability, that’s all.
Sure, but then why didn’t the first iteration of these succeed?
This Alberta resident sure as fuck doesnt support this. I’m a Canadian.
What a lot of people don’t realize though, is those consoles actually sell for a loss. 2025 is going to bring some crazy shit with it in regards to hardware pricing. Like in one aspect, ok if this thing is a decent price, and has decent performance, then yeah. But that is going to be really really hard to pull off right now. Meaning the thing is either going to be pretty crazy priced or it’s going to have lacklustre performance. In order to have good volumes of sales, you’ve got a very well established dominant two, that’s going to be hard to unseat. I dunno, I’ve been wrong before, and I’m sure I’ll be wrong again, maybe even here. But to me, that’s going to be hard to pull off.
I got super into it in the days after my daughter was born a couple years ago. I had a few weeks off work, so I was letting my wife get some sleep at night and I’d stay up playing Cyberpunk until the baby woke up and needed fed. I’m actually on the last mission on the main campaign, but for some reason still haven’t finished it.
“I’m so excited!”
-The Boomers.
“Meh”
-Everyone else.
Didnt they already try this and it flopped? Is my memory playing tricks on me?
It would be a pretty dumb business move. It’s going to take a lot to unseat Sony and Microsoft, and the people familiar with Steam likely already have pretty powerful PCs. Case in point, the steam deck. Novelty product, it’s pretty cool, but it’s nowhere even close to unseating Nintendo Switch, let alone PS or Xbox.
What’s wrong with the last one? Nothing.
Quit buying this shit, unless you guys like buying the same game ten times over. Just a money grab, nothing else to see here.
