I understand each government can have its own regulation about what websites should be accessible. I still don’t understand how Twitter operates in the EU. It’s a part of the world wide web. My understanding of how the internet works is that users reach out to the server, which in twitters case is in the US

I don’t disagree that anyone should be able to voice their opinions here, even if it is to express distaste. But let’s not pretend you were doing that respectfully.
I would go back to when this post had no comments and be the first so I can explain to everyone else what no consequence means. That way when I come back to the present I can still be disappointed by half of the answers in this thread.
He works from home. 12 hour shifts, 10 days on, 4 days off. He already had a bit of a loner personality before that job, but it’s turned him into a complete hermit now. I don’t really blame him, it’s a rough schedule, but I personally would’ve just found another line of work. Anyway, as a result of that he often goes well over a week without stepping foot outside. Everyday he orders food through Uber eats, as well as having groceries delivered that way. Everything he “knows” of the world is delivered through the internet. Most often through just headlines and reddit comments. I’m still waiting for him to go on a tirade over 4B, similar to how he found out every woman in the world would go out of their way to encounter a blood thirsty bear in the woods than come across a nice strong helpful man.

I played WoW when it came out but I thought even then it was clear that their adverts and cutscenes weren’t trying to fool us into believing that was the gameplay. I can’t speak for StarCraft, but in WoW they were labeled as Cinematic Cutscenes. Most mobile games ads i see are made to look like gameplay, even the picture OP posted.
Walking Dead season 3 was weird because Clementine went from being a sweet and timid kid to being a shoot first ask question later, fuck everybody kind of person. She’s very hostile to the player character in 3. You don’t see any transformation as to why her personality changed so much. I kind of get it, she’s growing up into a teenager in a post apocalyptic zombie infested world. But then you start the 4th game and she’s much closer to who she was in the first 2 games. It’s hard to imagine anything she did in the 3rd game as being canon

My roommate is chronically online and headlines like this lead him to believe that it’s next to impossible to meet women that aren’t actively participating on the 4B movement. I’m not trying to say anything negative about it, but is there really anything going on there past headlines? I know I live in my own bubble within the whole wide world, but I haven’t heard anything about 4B outside of lemmy personally. Most articles I’ve reas about it say that the number of people looking it up on search engines is increasing, but that’s it

You recognize that restauratuers and legislators are the ones failing workers, yet you attribute the lost wages to the paying customer. What can we as paying customers do to fail the workers so that you recognize restauratuers and legislators as being responsible for their fair wages?
I believe it is on the owners to provide fair wages to workers. When the plumber, electrician, mechanic, sales rep, or whoever else tells you they don’t make a livable wage, you’re going to feel it is your responsibility to tip them too?
So why should only restaurant customers tip? Why should only waiters expect tips?

I know i didn’t mind putting up with a lot of Window’s bullshit, but I’ll never understand why they removed the single button click to create a folder in the files viewer. They moved it to a drop down. Idk if I’m the outlier but 90% of the time I used file viewer was to create folders because it was just one click of a button, but they just had to take that away lol
