The scales are so pretty. Hard to capture in images though

BeerEater@sub.wetshaving.socialto WetShaving@sub.wetshaving.social•Wednesday SOTD Thread, April 2nd, 2025 (#659)7·18 days agoQuick shave today, Palmolive and the SOC made sure of a great lather with 0 effort, and plate 3 of the razor got me to a quick 2 pass BBS. Some minor weepers along the jaw but nothing to write home about

Very good soap imo, and it’s a very hard puck
Haven’t used my pig brush in a while, I forgot how good it feels. Much stronger backbone than my badger and also very soft hairs.

though the cream needs a LOT of loading, the lather is very good indeed
and I finally got over whatever gave me burnt tire in the splash, so now it smells amazing

BeerEater@sub.wetshaving.socialto WetShaving@sub.wetshaving.social•Monday SOTD Thread - March 3rd, 2025 (#629)3·2 months agoDude get one of these if you can find one. It’s extremely comfy to hold and the hair is really good, at least it feels like it on my skin. You might still be able to find some if they aren’t sold out. I think Oneblade brushes are Thaters too, but I don’t know about long-term availability or whether they’ll switch suppliers or whatever.
BeerEater@sub.wetshaving.socialto WetShaving@sub.wetshaving.social•Monday SOTD Thread - March 3rd, 2025 (#629)5·2 months agoI love this brush. It’s broken in nicely after a dozen uses or so and it’s very plush. Denim and Dirtyver go together really well too.

In this case if the scenter is considered to be the same, the artisan has to as well. Either that or interpret artisan as brand, in which case anything not branded stubble buster can only be used for scent notes
BeerEater@sub.wetshaving.socialto WetShaving@sub.wetshaving.social•Friday SOTD Thread - February 21st, 2025 (#620) [Atlas Shaves Edition]5·2 months agoCream is great, so is the flavor
Razor gud, lather not as good as I wanted but perfectly serviceable. Wanted to stay on @[email protected]’s suggested theme today so I went with green soap (Dr. K’s Peppermint shave soap), green razor (MOARteen), and green splash (Proraso green).
What I can say about the razor: it’s sharp enough to shave comfortably, the tang is plenty grippy even without jimping due to the rough finish, which was honestly an apprehension of mine, and even though the blade is a relatively large format at 15/16, the grind makes it lighter than I expected while being very stiff feeling.
