Have you seen Underspace? Its almost a spiritual successor to Freelancer. Take Freelancer and add Eldritch horrors and you have Underspace. IIt’s still in Early Access but definitely scratches the itch.
Tron 2.0 - A FPS game set inside computers from the early 2000s. There were a lot of great weapons in the game but I always went back with the Disc throwing weapon.
Homeworld 1/2/Cataclysm- An 3D space RTS series 1999/2000s. During the campaign all units made carry through to the next mission.
Put those into the console command and the lightsaber is so much more fun!
Atomic Shrimp - He’s an older British guy that does a variety of videos. Everything from tech related projects, scambating, gardening, hikes, and foraging.
My favorite videos of his are his ‘Weird Stuff in a Can’ videos.
Bomb Carrier: “I’m going A”
Random Teammate: “Okay, everyone rush B!”
I would say for Canada: The Tragically Hip - New Orleans is Sinking. They have a bunch of well known songs in Canada, but some of them are not quite 30 years old yet.
I would recommend Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward. I played that on my Vita back in the day and thought it was great! It has a similar puzzle narrative like Danganronpa but I would say it’s more escape room puzzle like.
Taskmaster + Helldivers 2
Doing bug squishing tasks for democracy points?
I’ve been replaying Loop Hero on the Deck. I never finished it the first time but now I can do a few loops before bed.
Other than that I’ve also been playing a heavily modded Project Zomboid. Working on building a base to fend off enemy bandit NPCs and zombies. Having to fight something that can shoot back at you has given the game new life.
Space Siege, it was basically Dungeon Siege but futuristic. I only ever played it from an old PC gamer demo disc.
I trimmed down Glimpse of a Memory from Persona 4 Golden as my ringtone. Honestly it sounds very close to a normal ringtone.
I have been playing UnderMine. The game plays a lot like The Binding of Isaac, but has a few differences like the meta profession after every run where you can unlock new upgrades and you can rescue people inside the mine that are vendors and the like.
The game scratched an inch I had for a new roguelite since I haven’t played one in awhile.
That was what happened to me too when I first played it on the PS3. I didn’t fully understand the vocation mechanic, I guess I didn’t realize the effectiveness of using certain magics against enemies.
I’ve been playing as a Mystic Knight and blowing up everything with Great Canon and am having so much more fun than I had when I was younger.
Been playing Dragon’s Dogma, I never got past getting to the main city when it first came out. I just got beat a boss and now the world has completely changed so I don’t think it’s over yet.
I haven’t even touched any of the Bitterblack Isle stuff yet so I’m sure there’s still some stuff left to do.
I just read through the link you sent and I think I understand now! That was exactly what I was looking for. It gave explanations for all of the keywords that I was looking for.
Thank you for taking the time to help me!
Still trying to figure this Lemmy thing out. I have an account with Lemmy.World, but I can still post/view other instances if they are shared? Anyways now that RiF is gone, guess I’m done with Reddit. Glad to be here!
“Thanks for stopping by, come back again SooON.” -Random vendor guy in the woods, Dungeon Siege
