This is the dumbest shit I have ever read. My brain hurts and I almost feel bad for you, but that would require way more emotional labor than this reply is worth. I would honestly be fine with it if tankies would purge the liberals.

This isn’t changing people’s minds about crapitalism. Amerikkkans will keep calling liberals, “the left,” and liberals will keep loving crapitalism. This only shows how right wing Amerikkka is as a country. Liberals would much rather be forced to identify as right wing than as anti-crapitalist. No power is ever as absolute as people think. AmeriKKKa has been in a death spiral for a while now, but it will probably still tske a really long time to disintigrate. If anything, fascism signals that the elite are losing their grip on power as it’s the tool they always turn to when desperately holding on. It will look like absolute power for a while, but it will ultimately burn itself on both ends until there isn’t anything left to burn. Alot of people will inevitable get burnt up between the flames though.

I don’t know why this is the line in the sand. The American oligarchy has been running shit since Koch brothers o’clock. There are some small practical differences, but for all intents and purposes, those differences are negligable and the rich get the laws they pay the government officials to produce.

I am aware that he aggregates polls. But actually 2024 his model did so poorly that he said he is retiring that model(good riddance). His polling has been off since he predicted Obama was going to win and I am not sure why anybody needed a model for that outcome.

I think everybody is focusing too much on the word betrayal and not enough on the being a syccophant to a would be fascist. If you don’t think thats a problem because, “business,” that makes you also a fascism enabler. Just because they are good at the privacy part, doesn’t mean a company that cow tows to fascism can ever be seen as safe for antifascists. Currently there is a good alternative; tuta. So why contribute to a company like this. There is massive potential to betray users if they are ideologically opposed to things that proton is coming to represent. If there is the option to divert resources away from projects that express fascist sympathies, its probably wise to do so.

Not defending democrats at all, but didn’t Nate Silvers polling engine consistently favor democrats polls? I would say Democrats are loosing because they have created an echo-chamber (of which Nate is a part), in which alternatives are not allowed even if those alternatives are; we shouldn’t do a genocide in gaza or hey, actually the most accurate polls have consistently showed Harris losing. If they could actually listen to what their constituents want for once, maybe they could have a majority, but also if Nate Silver could stop inflating their polling they could get a realistic idea of how they are doing with their strategy of telling the proles how they should feel about the perfect, infallible Biden econony and potebtially readjust that strategy or run more popular candidates. 🤷🤷🤷

To be honest, this always happens. So what? Most people want their corporate social media. My parents will never stop using Facebook no matter how bad it gets. I think focusing on metrics like what most people are doing is just a race to the bottom. If we keep building what we want to exist in the world and stop focusing on which platform does the best numbers, I think we will find its quality that counts, not quantity.

Whats funny about this is that Biden continued almost all of Trumps most right-wing policies, deported more people than Trump, was ramping up enforcement on immigration, was furthering the teade war nonsense, gave more money to police and military, gave Israel hundreds of billions in genocide aid. don’t forget that Biden and desmocratic Mayors across the US were just as down to criminalize Antifa, to the point of using gang enhancements. Like you people think it’s different one way or the other, like voters were choosing between fascism and something else, when we have always been voting for pepsi or coke oligarachy and thats not a thing that’s changed. In fascism their is one state party, but instead of party our politicians are united by class and it’s always been a class war on the poor and most vulnerable people, because the rich resent that we ever had enough power to resist our own enslavement. Trump just neglects the layers of goverent and immediately implements the oligarchy agenda. The problem isn’t just Trump, watch how many democrats vote in favor of his most atrocious legislation, because there is no part of the oligarchy that is meaningfully opposing Trump. Fascism has changed slightly since the last time. It is now entirely focused on class and Trump is the dictator of his class comrades. The rest of us better get in line as slaves or he will direct his next tantrum at us. There was no voting this shit away though, this shit was coming from Democrats as much as Republicans. We are actually now juat witnessing the same limits on electoral democracy that the weimar republic did aroubd the same time last century.

I was gonna say, I got Molly-FOSS from F-droid, but I actually had to go back and check. It checks out though. I did also get obtainium so I can keep a better eye on updates and actually check the changes on git before updating something as important as secure, encrypted coms. Also I figured I should really start checking the signature each update from now on.

Is there anything specifically wrong with molly. It seems more locked down by default and is fully open source. Seems better to me.
