Kanye West had announced that he would release an album tonight. Kanye was previously a very popular hip hop artist, who destroyed his career by saying “I love Hitler” on Alex Jones show. Kanye has since expressed many far-right political beliefs and collaborated with white supremacist figures.
I checked his twitter today to see if he had actually released the album. I’m worried that if his music becomes popular again, his music will further normalize fascist ideology. Instead, I see that he is trying to sell foldable shoes “on presale”, not manufactured yet. This is a funnier outcome than I could have predicted.

Successful career would mean that he’s making money. He’s been out of the spotlight for a solid year. After Adidas dropped his sponsorship, his net worth dropped by liked 70%. He’s on the fringe right now. This past 3 weeks though, he’s been on the rise a lot and I suspect it’s going to lead to something bad. As the other comment mentions, he just had another antisemitic rant during a music performance about 4 hours ago, but he’s still hanging out with a lot of other big name rappers.
