I mainly use streaming apps on my tv by connecting the MacBook to USB-C and HDMI to my tv. But I’m considering getting an Apple TV. I’m curious what everyone’s opinions are on connecting MacBook to USB-C and HDMI to TV versus using an Apple TV?

I use a Mac Mini connected to my LG flatscreen and much prefer it to using my Apple TV to the same tv. Mainly due to having a keyboard and trackpad for the Mini versus the ATV remote and UI which I dislike quite a bit.
