Three of the biggest obstacles with regulating the ai that come to my mind are: Regulators may be not up to date with advancements in ai and it’s potential Regulations may be done in such a way to help big corporations Ai is advancing so fast that it becomes difficult to even predict how it will affect our society in the next 5-10 years Edit: I’m not saying that private uses of ai should be regulated when it doesn’t affect anyone.
