I’m guessing you call yourself a leftist.

What did you say to the public? How far did your candidate get? How much organizing did you do?

It’s just more tankie/maga sea-lioning. They frame the situation as though Dems should seize power to avoid Republicans from seizing power, lol wut

The Dem leadership needs to be removed, but this “both sides” rhetoric is lazy and just further drives people to apathy, giving maga room to do their work.

Or they could’ve prosecuted Trump when they had the chance instead of making Garland the attorney general (supposedly to stick it to republicans for not confirming Obama’s nomination of this worthless milquetoast clown as a supreme court judge, where he probably would have sided with the conservative judges way too many times anyway) where he stood around with his dick in his hand for four years. If democrats are really as scared of fascism as they claim, then they should be pulling out all the stops, but instead it’s business as usual.

Yeah, this is a meme shared by an old guy that uses his real name on sites like this, and writes a diary online.

All my life I’ve been “the fat guy,” or sometimes “the weird guy.” Being described instead as “an old guy” feels like I’ve graduated to elder statesman status.

Plenty of leftists actually do spend their lives organizing and doing work within their communities. We ultimately believe that electoral democracy is not democracy so we don’t have candidates. The cash of corporations is worth far more to any representatives than any vote, winning or otherwise. I’d rather put my effort into creating real safety nets that I know I can actually rely on than the thoughts and prayers of war mongerers.

I’m sure the Green Party will be running a bunch of grassroots campaigns at the local and state level to build their party up, right?

      …right?

Pardon? Are you suggesting that I suddenly start attempting to transform a political party that I consider a complete joke at best, and a foreign psy-op at worst, into something viable?

Why the fuck would I do that? Fuck the Green “Party.”

They’ll disappear for another four years, only to climb out of whatever hole they’re in to spoil another election.
