If I am remembering correctly the creator was working on Peppa Pig and decided to go back home and design an Australian cartoon with a similar model.

Obviously its no guarantee of Bluey’s success but it looks like Peppa has been running since 2004.

Is long as they don’t include too many references to the fad of the moment (e.g.flossing) they can be evergreen as new kids age into the target demographic.

My son was two when Bluey started and while he has aged of following it closely he still checks out the new episode two or three times a year with a sense of nostalgia.
