They’re going to learn that you can’t just say antisemite to shut people up or make them scared. Words have meaning and if you disregard their meaning and use them too aggressively, they lose their meaning, as well as the power associated with them.

Back in the day, antisemite was an awful accusation which made someone look awful, literally equating them to a nazi. Nowadays it’s anyone who supports palestine. So if someone calls me an antisemite these days for being against genocide and occupation of Palestine, I’m just going to laugh at them because they’re a chud who can’t be taken seriously.

i hope they learn! :( it’s my understanding that israel and pro-israel media are very aware that they are galvanizing further antisemitism on purpose to some degree, because it lends credence to the idea that a zionist state must exist.

I think it’s even simpler than that. A lot of the people conflating anti-Israel sentiment with anti Jewish sentiment are ethno nationalists. On the Israeli side, those would be Jewish nationalists; but here in the US, the sentiment is disproportionately coming from Christian nationalists. Incidentally, these people also tend to be the same people who conflate anti-current-governing-coalition-and-policy-of-Isreal sentiment with anti Israel sentiment more generally, because that conflation is part of fascist ideology, and ethno nationalism tends to be a fascist ideology.

The reason we see pro-Zionist media ferment anti semitism is simply that the Zionist movement is ideologically aligned with most anti-semetic movements.

I have little faith that they will, at least not before eroding the meaning of the term completely, to the point people find being called antisemitic or an antisemite to not carry any weight, and just be a meaningless insult like “butthead” or “peabrain” something you say to try and make people feel bad or dumb, but doesn’t have any real meaning. It might also be seen as a way to silence real dissent against horrible things, and that’s even worse because it means people not only won’t take it seriously, they’d consider the people saying it, even ones using it legitimately, to be trying to enact suppression.

Ultimately what they are doing is very bad and has negative long-term consequences, which they seem to be blatantly neglecting or disregarding.

she didn’t do enough tier lists, as a conservative, Owens’ whole life is centered around putting other people down, something Frogan could never aspire to achieve in one livestream panel /s

Im voting Hasan Piker, considering antisemite of the year basically means “most critical of Israel” its basically a medal of honor (except Candace Owens, shes just an antisemite). Personally as a Jewish person I would love to one day be “antisemite of the year” :3

To be fair Candice Owens worked really hard for this title, for her it was a matter of professional pride. Hasan and Greta had great episodic performance with their vile “killing children is bad vibes” rethoric, but Candice’s project of “how about tactical counter-genocide” simply outshines anything those two could put out. She’s a maverick.

She also really hit it out of the ballpark with the “Christians shouldnt be supporting a country that bombs churches”, very antisemitic :3

Exactly! Lets be honest, you only voted for Hasan because he’s white-passing man. You’ve allowed your internalized misoginy and racism to influence your decision, and all that just because he’s hotter than she is. Shameful.

Let’s actually vote for our favourite. I think Greta is pretty solid because she is clearly just pro Palestine and has been standing for righteous causes basically all her life. Let’s make this whole thing look as dumb as it actually is.

Next year if people brigade the nominations we could get Bernie for maximum absurdity

Edit. Ah it’s too late. Looks like Candace won. Next year Bernie!

The first actual antisemite this award has been given to was Kanye last year. Every other award till then was given to people who simply support Palestine. Nasty.

  • I guess I’m antisemitic. I’m not a hereditary jew, but my father is.

But principle is super important to me, and the current situation in Israel shows us its not what the German Reich did in the holocaust that is offensive, but to whom it was done. I wonder if our zionist brethren ever cared about the Roma, the disabled, the LGBT, heck the civilians who had jobs Heydrich didn’t approve.

Who will care when ICE decides their overflowing detention centers cost too much to maintain, and deporting them all is too much work? Who will care when they decide on the solution to the immigrant question.

Interestingly, Jewish media during the German Reich was more sympathetic to NSDAP then they were their working-class Jewish brethren. It tracks with the non-right-wing media in the US (NYT / LAT / WaPo) are happy to give Trump all the press he wants (and neglected the whole Harris campaign)

I think it was a class war all along.

yeah. like the ADL, in addition to the noble task of fighting real antisemitism, they also loop all the way around on the horseshoe back to being antisemitic themselves because they consider all anti-Zionism/criticism of this Israeli state to be antisemitism. :/

never forget that Candace Owens was allowed to remain working at Ben Shapiro-owned Daily Wire through multiple actually antisemitic comments, and was only fired when she criticized Israel 1 time. 😭

It’s so rich to see the ADL turning on neurodivergent and queer people while still trying to hide behind us. When Netanyahu finally gets ousted by the military for destroying his own country, we cannot let them forget what they supported. These organizations can never be allowed to rebuild their credibility.

I always thought their support of Queer and Neurodivergence felt fake or forced, like they were just using us so they could talk more about antisemitism, or so they could seem more respectable. So it doesn’t surprise me that they’d attack someone neurodivergent or queer if they think they could spin it as just another antisemite.

They don’t actually care about us, they’re just pretending to care so they can talk about what they want and seem like the good guys.

he’s prominent, sure, but i wouldn’t call him leading. he’s rejected ceasefire in the past, which has let him nicely toe the line and stay on the ADL’s good side while also positioning himself squarely outside mainstream pro-Palestine sentiment.

one of my few huge gripes with an otherwise rather solid guy.
